For twenty years, Bedrock Learning has been offering training that focuses on residential systems, from the infrastructure to lighting and home theater. They currently offer eight different online courses covering these technical topics, along with printed course guides. Their Fundamentals for Electronic Systems Technicians course aligns well with the ESPA body of knowledge, and founder Helen Heneveld has been a strong supporter of ESPA and other workforce initiatives for many years.
We are pleased to welcome Bedrock Learning as an ESPA Authorized Training Partner, and encourage you to check out their online training at http://www.bedrocklearning.com!
Most career centers and community colleges run traditional semesters but many tech schools have staggered start and finish times.
This is the case with the 6 Lincoln Tech EST programs located across the midwest and east coast. In fact, they will have an unusually large group finishing soon.
Altogether, the Union NJ, Mahwah NJ, and Columbia MD locations administered 60 ESPA exams in January, so they will be entering the job market soon. If you are an employer looking to hire a well-prepared technician in any of these markets, contact the Lincoln Tech near you and ask for their Career Services department!
Our friends at Lincoln Tech’s Union, NJ campus posted a 97% passing rate on the ESPA Certification Exam last month. We have seen higher percentages all year, and as more and more technicians are needed in the work force, this is a trend we hope to see continue.
We could not be more excited for the students. Well-done, everyone!
As we all know, the demand for qualified Electronic Systems Technicians has never been higher. Systems integrators, both commercial and residential, now see this as one of their biggest challenges. In order to better explain the rapid growth of the industry, and quantify the actual demand for workers, ESPA has put together the Electronic Systems Industry Workforce Update, based on real data collected from a variety of surveys and studies. This document seeks to clarify the situation and underscore the very real career opportunities that exist in this this rapidly growing, always changing, industry.
CEDIA CEO Vin Bruno recently paid a visit to ESPA’s largest training partner, Lincoln Tech in Union, New Jersey. He was able to see the program up close, including the lab areas and classrooms, and speak to some students about the exciting career paths available in residential electronic systems. Lincoln Tech offers their comprehensive EST program at six locations and this one is the top producer of ESPA certified technicians in the country. They run both day and night classes and have a very high ESPA pass rate. For more information visit their website here.
